Ethos

In January 2018 I decided to take part in the Veganuary challenge. At the time of the year when a lot of people try to be more healthy or give up bad habits, the idea of the challenge is to adopt a vegan diet for the whole month of January. So in January 2018 I did it and it wasn't very difficult at all. Since then I have been mostly on a vegan diet, switching to vegetarian when we travel and sometimes having a bit of fish. However, I did have ham and some other meat during Christmas last year and also when we went back to Japan for 2 weeks in November.
Ethos is a restaurant in Fitzrovia that only serves vegan and vegetarian food. The food is displayed in buffet style and once you've filled your plate you take it to the till where they will weigh your plate and that determines the price! So you don't have to worry about wasting any food (as long as you eat everything on your plate), or being served something that doesn't appeal to you.
Some of the colorful dishes. I spent a long time choosing what to put on my plate.
Yesterday I went to have dinner at Ethos with my very good friend Aurelia. We both enjoyed the food although Aurelia thought her's was a little bit too spicy. Aurelia is from Paris and we got to know each other about 3 years ago through a Craft Club we both attended. It is alway nice having a chat with her.
I decided to go for the full vegetarian experience and helped myself to a little bit of everything. The scotch egg was my favourite. I love eggs and appreciate them even more now I only have them on occasion.
They had lots of desserts too! Although the desserts where individually priced so no need to weigh them. I wanted to try eveything but settled on a vegan tiramisu cake in the end. I can really recoomend that one!
