Upptäcker resten av Japan!

28 Mar 2008
Im now at a hotel in Hiroshima called Active! and since this keyboard isnt swedish Im gonna write in english today.

After 3 hours on the Shinkansen (very comfy) I arrived in Kyoto. Met up with dad and co. and pretty much took a cab to the hotel and went to bed. The following 2 days it felt like we went to every shrine and temple there is in Kyoto, but we problobly didnt =P We visited Heianjingu, Ginkakuji, we walked along the Tetsugaku no michi, visited Kiyomizu, went to some market place I cant remember the name of, visited Kinkakuji and last the Ryooanji. Its been alot of walking as well as going by bus. The hotel we stayed at, Travellers In, was very good. Overall Kyoto was really nice but we were there too early, only a few cherry trees had blossomed. So I really wanna go back some time in the future to walk the Philosophers Pathway during sakura. And next time I really wanna go to the geisha district as well. (Though we did see a few)

Today early morning we took Shinkansen to Himeji and visited Himeji-jo wich was really nice, we actually got to enter the castle and go all the way up to the top floor. Hopped on the Shinkansen once more to go to Hiroshima, where I am now. Quick stop at the hotel (wich is even nicer than the last one, to bad were only staying one night, and I got a room for myself!) and then we walked to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and also visited the museum wich pretty much took up the rest of the day. Lastly we ate the special dish of Hiroshima, called okonomiyaki. It was good but I actually think the one we ate in Kyoto was better…

Tomorow me, dad and Pia are going to Osaka to check things out, dont really have a plan (for once). Ulle and Alan are going to stay at some monestary for the night… sounds cold.

Now I pretty much gonna go to bed, getting up early for breakfast at 8 (yes, they are killing me) and after that see some more of the city before we catch the Shinkansen one again. Mata ne!
