Winter is here

14 Apr 2019

The wait is over! I can't belive it has been almost 2 years since season 7 wrapped up. Back then it felt unimaginable to have wait until spring 2019 to watch the final season but now it's here and in a few weeks it will be done and over.

In preparation for the 8th season I decided to rewatch all of season 1-7 and I just finished the last episode of season 7 yesterday. It took me less than 2 months (it helped that I was sick in bed for a whole week 2 weeks ago) and looking back it was a great desicion to do so. I have all seasons in fresh memory and I am really excited to see how it ends. It was also a different type of experience, to watch everything in "one go" and not spread out over several years. For example I remember not enjoying season 5 so much because it felt very slow and like nothing happend but when you can watch the next episode right away it wasn't boring at all.

I really have no idea how this is going to end. The most obvious choice for who will end up on the Iron Throne would be Jon and Daenerys but since when does GoT do obvious? This makes me really nervous that they will be killed off early in the season, together with Tyrion they are my favourite characters in the show so would be really sad to see any of them go.

I'm currently contemplating if I should wake up at 6am tomorrow, so I can watch the first episode before I go to work. This way I don't have to worry about spoliers. I guess it's either that or stay off social media for the whole day...

If you are a GoT fan please watch the video below, it's a really cute mashup of some of the main actors, who's characters are still alive. And don't worry, I won't be posting any spoliers here on my blog, not until the final episode has been aired.
